Procedures and Guidelines 

for my Classroom

Class procedures for entering the room;

 

--Turn off /put away all electronic devices before entering the classroom.

 

--Shake hands and greet instructor at door

 

--Look at the white board, read what you are assigned to do, get what you   need, and get started on the bell ringer.

 

--Make sure you have a pencil ready to write with, paper ready to write on, and your Chrome book powered up and ready to use.

 

 * If a student borrows one of my pencils, I require them to leave something of theirs in my desk until it is returned--cell phone, house key, I phone, etc…

Lunch procedures

  When teacher states, “Let’s get ready for lunch”,   We will…

•  stow all our belongings in our bags

•  pick up and throw away trash around us

•  line up at the door and wait for the teacher

•  Walk in a line together to cafeteria

•  Sit in assigned seating area

  go promptly to following class after lunch is over

Ending Class

When the teacher states the lesson is over, students will:

•  put away all classroom equipment—calculators,   remote clickers, chrome books, etc…

•  Return all supplies where they belong—pencils,   markers, white boards, etc…

•  clean their desk / work area

•  stow all their belongings in their

  back pack

•  sit at their desks until

   instructor releases them

Grading

•All Combined Homework is worth 25% of your grade

•All Combined Projects and Tests are worth 40% of your grade

•All combined Quizzes are worth 35% of your grade

•Any class driven test, project, homework assignment, or quiz may be made up during remediation period.

   (This does not go for state or federally driven test)

When we start class

  All noise stops--Everyone should be in their seats

  practicing SLANT

S – Sit up straight

L – Lean forward in seat

A – Ask and answer questions

N – Nod your head when you understand

T – Track the teacher’s movement

Bathroom/Clinic/water

fountain procedures 

•One person goes at a time

•Must take agenda with you, after I initial it

•Get back promptly

•Do not disturb other classes while going or returning

•No one can go, until they are done with the bell ringer

*If you are misbehaving, not participating in class, or not following teachers directives, don’t bother asking to go—the answer will be “no” 

*If you disturb other classes or are caught roaming the halls (ditching), you will not be allowed to go during my class, for 5 school days*

Personal Boundaries

  Students are not allowed

•  behind my desk or in my drawers

•  in my refrigerator

•  to touch my instructional devices

•  to use my microwave

 

  Students should--

  respect school property, as well as their   classmates property, and personal space.

Homework Assignment

 

All homework is expected to be turned in on time

  If it’s turned in on time, you will get 100% of your grade

  If it’s turned in week late you get 70% of your grade

 

All homework is expected to be turned in the following class. If it is not turned in at that time, the max you can earn 70%

Bell schedule

Every Period I will be teaching 7th grade math
