I'm Mr. Mendez, one of the 6th and 7th grade Math teachers employed at Holley-Navarre MS. I'm a retired Air Force Veteran, with a degree in Math and Language Arts, from the University of West Florida. My family and I settled here on the Gulf Coast in 2010, and fell in love with the area and the people residing in it. My style of teaching math involves, linking it to music, technology, art or any other discipline that motivates students to learn. I hope this site helps students learn math and enables parents to aid in their child's learning needs. If you need to reach me for any reason please contact me at MendezF@santarosa.k12.fl.us.

Welcome to all my math students and their parents/guardians. This web page will  be of great assistance to you all this year. Home- work videos will be posted on the bottom of the page. ( Videos should be used for tutoring purposes, viewing activity sheet if you misplaced the handout, or to check work after trying to complete it yourself…using it to get answers will not help prepare you for quizzes or tests….so don’t cheat yourself out of a good education.) Information about projects and quizzes will be posted in the center, and classroom rules, and procedures will be on the right. If your child is absent from school, make sure they go to their math period on TEAMs where all the lessons power-points are given, as well as the home work videos that accompany the home work given. All Home work should be e-mailed to me, posted on TEAMS to me, or handed in upon their return to the classroom with the word "ABSENT" written at the top of the page, so I know to give full credit for the assignment. E-mails should be used to ask questions regarding the class. Can't wait to see you in class!

  Site Uses
-- This site can be used to view assigned activity sheet videos in order to help students check their work or tutor them when they need help learning how to solve problems on the activity sheet.
-- The site will also enable students to view project guidelines and rubrics, in order for students to look up what they need to do in order to get the grade they want.
--  Lastly, I will do my best to place notifications for upcoming tests on the site, in order for students to know when it's time to really put some study time in.
 Policies & Procedures
-- Students wear of face masks is optional. Please do not confuse this with any type of costume wear or sports masks.

-- All students will be required to follow their classes Social contract throughout the entirety of the year. Failure to uphold the contract, will result in corrective behavior tools to be applied.
